(4)Yeast extraction: Natural Phaffia rhodozyma colonies can produce carotenoids such as astaxanthin, of which the content of astaxanthin is about 0.4%, but the content is still not high.

(5)Algae extraction: The natural astaxanthin currently on the market mainly comes from red algae, with a content of 1.5% to 3%, which can be produced and utilized on a large scale. Some astaxanthin products may not see “astaxanthin” in the ingredient list, but there will be “Pluvialis red algae extract”. The main ingredient in this extract is astaxanthin.
